Exclusive Interview & New Release from VOXID

This award-winning group out of Germany has treated us to more great new music today. Following their highly acclaimed release, Shades of Light, Voxid covered YEBBA‘s Evergreen.

Acaville sat down with the group’s bass and arranger, Daniel Barke to talk about the new song:

Previewed by some of the biggest influencers in a cappella, it is clear just how well done this recording is. Dr. J.D. Frizzell, director of OneVoice and President of the A Cappella Education Association, shared, “VOXID’s new video of ‘Evergreen’ showcases the group’s intricate harmonies, tight rhythmic pocket, incredibly effective arranging, and engaging soloists. Even with all of this, the way VOXID’s members’ bright personalities shine through is this video’s a greatest strength.”

“I really like this release. It’s classy and effortlessly while still being playful and intimate. It takes so much work and dedication to release music and videos on this level – and wonderful soloist.” said Morten Vinther Sørensen of The Real Group.

Ray Chu, a leader of the Taiwan Choral Music Association, also weighed in. “Great a cappella cover, sung with soul and beautifully harmonized! The rhythm section sounds unbelievably real – how did you do that?”

Take a peek at the video – we’re sure you’ll be adding your voice to the chorus of praise!
