It takes a big personality and a big voice to step in a conquer Deke Sharon re-imagined bass lines of the Disney catalog. Veteran opera singer Joe Santoni ended up being just right for the role. Stepping up from other vocal projects in LA, Joe took his super vibrant low range on the road for DCappella‘s first North American tour.

In the last year, Business Casual has won the National Harmony Sweepstakes, been a finalist at the AcaOpen, and won the 2019 competition at VoiceJam. From groups in Walt Disney World to the stage with DCappella, Antonio Fernandez wows audiences with his stellar beatboxing skills and his phenomenal voice. With a background in choir and vocal jazz, he first sang a cappella with Boots ‘n’ Cats. This self-taught vocal percussionist steals the show.

From theater to Disney, soprano Morgan Keene brings a special kind of sparkle to the stage with DCappella. A captivating voice paired with a natural bubbly personality, Morgan wowed audiences across North America during DCappella’s first tour. We’re pretty sure she’s going to be beloved during their next tour in Japan, too.

The first DCappella Tour just ended, but not before we got to sit down with the cast. The mezzo might look familiar to the a cappella crowd – she debuted her first foray into a cappella with the Pitch Perfect series. She now sets the stage on fire with Disney’s touring a cappella group, scheduled to leave for Japan this summer.

The a cappella legacy at Calabasas High School in Southern California is strong and both their co-ed and all female groups routinely shine on stage. We enjoyed meeting with Bare Rhythm during the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival and wish them well for their performance at Carnegie Hall this weekend at Deke Sharon’s Total Vocal.
